I am a really big Star Trek fan and would love to watch all these new series that have come out, but they are all on that steaming site. I already pay for cable. Why would i pay even more money for a steaming site as well? What was wrong with having it played on T.V. so everybody could enjoy it? I really hate how our society has gotten so money hungry and greedy that the normal everyday person can't enjoy shows that they would love to watch.

The frontrunneers are: Holodeck, Time Travel, Matrix-like alternate realities. Borgafication sometime in the 24th or 25th Centuries, or Brent Spiner in one of those overused Sung androids. Will Weaton will rail on about how his Star Trek character was the most hated in the Franchise. I'm proud to say that I share this opinion. This is mature science ficture, with considerable, and growing respect amoungst the serious literati (Margaret Atwood leaps to mind) of the cultural and literary value of the series of series. This 'Starfleet Academy' that I will completely boycott. I urge all of you to do the same. It sullies the spirit of the Great Bird of the Galaxy.

It's worth noting that Shatner actually wrote several Star Trek novels as well - including one that specifically retcons Kirk's death - basically having his body transported away from the cairn and brought back to life. Plus a handful more, some written by him, some by others, that treat that specific novel as canon. Which is a very Shatner thing to do. Disagree with the plot, agree to do it for the money, then rewrite the ending and make MORE money publishing basically glorified fanfic. XD (in case you're wondering, the book is titled The Return)

I'm not sure why they didn't streamline the bridge more given the Covid restrictions. I'm not talking the extreme single station bridges we saw in All Good Things, but even the Titan-A ran with less manned bridge stations. Discovery now had a sentient AI. I'm not sure why it still needed both Ops and Spore Drive Ops along with the 1st officer still having a large workable station.

I still can't get over the fact that Burnham just abandoned both Discovery and Zora in the middle of nowhere for a thousand years. I can understand if the Short Trek episode "Calypso" is no longer canon, but now I want a sequel of the ultimate fate of Zora after Craft left Discovery.

I would swap out ANY engineer for Torres. Charles Tucker, Reno, and most certainly Scotty! Captain Sulu would be a superb instructor, as would JAG Capt. Phillipa Louvois for UCMJ studies.

This putting alpha chars after ship registries is going a bit too far, isn’t it? Enterprise was a hero ship and a hero captain plus the general public knew what NCC-1701 meant so as a brand it had to stay. But no one cares that Voyager is NCC-74656 and no one cares if it gets an A or not. Same with Discovery, and the Titan. Starfleet (and real navies) would give them new numbers that corresponded to class, commission, and purpose. We’ve seen 3 Defiants, each with its own registry and no one laments the loss of the original #. So seriously it’s just dumb now.
